Prospective members can either apply online or download an application form to print and submit later. Our constitution fully defines membership requirements, however the practicalities of this are presented below.
Individual Membership
Full Membership
Full voting membership may be granted to active Clinical Engineering practitioners with at least two years of verifiable South African Clinical Engineering work experience.
Current cost for Full membership is R 290 Annum, Retired Members R 50 per Annum. Memberships are valid from 1 January to 31 December

Associate Membership
Non-voting Associate membership may be granted to applicants with an active interest in Clinical Engineering but whom are not Clinical Engineering practitioners. Clinical Engineering students and those with less than the pre-requisite 2 years experience should apply for Associate membership and later apply to upgrade to Full membership.
Associate Members receive an Associate Membership Letter.
Current cost for Associate membership is R 260 per Annum. Memberships are valid from 1 January to 31 December.

International Membership
The International Membership category is granted to applicants who reside and work outside the borders of the African continent. This applies to Applicants with an active interest in Clinical Engineering but whom are not Clinical Engineering practitioners. Clinical Engineering students and those with less than the prerequisite 2 years experience should apply for this category of membership.
Current cost for International membership is USD20 per Annum. Memberships are valid from 1 January to 31 December

Gold Corporate Membership
CEASA is proud to introduce our latest Corporate Membership package, Gold Corporate Membership.
The Gold Corporate Membership is offered to organisations that are active in the healthcare technology field and encourages companies to support their clinical engineering practitioners to become members of CEASA.

Standard Corporate Membership
Corporate membership may be granted to companies and healthcare providers employing Clinical Engineering practitioners. At least 50% of the Clinical Engineering practitioners in the employ of the company or group must be paid-up Individual CEASA members.
Corporate members are listed with direct links to their websites and are entitled to the responsible use of a CEASA supplied Corporate member logo.

General notes
Submit printed application forms to the CEASA National Administrator.
Upon membership approval and payment receipt, membership certificates will be made available in PDF format. Certificates are valid only for the year with which they are watermarked. Old Membership certificates without a watermarked validity period only indicate past membership and shall be deemed to be null and void.
The onus is on members to ensure that CEASA is informed of any personal contact details changing. Membership will lapse if annual fees are not paid by due date. Persons whom fail to pay their fees by due date may later re-apply for membership at an additional cost of R 439 for reprocessing.
