We are excited to announce our 2026 Global Clinical Engineering Day Competition!!!

  • Deadline for entries to be submitted:  17 August 2026

This year’s competition offers the following categories:

 

CE Student of the Year Award

    • This category is directed at Tertiary Institutions offering the Clinical Engineering Qualification.
    • This competition is directed at the highest performing Clinical Engineering student that has completed his or her S3 (old syllabus) or S4 (new syllabus).
    • The Representative from the Tertiary Institution enters the student for this competition by requesting the submission form via email from admin@ceasa.org.za
    • The form is completed by the Tertiary Institution Representative and submitted together with the student’s academic transcript to admin@ceasa.org.za
    • Written permission must be obtained from the student who is to be enrolled in the competition.

Clinical Engineering Excellence & Impact Award

    • This category of the competition recognizes experienced Clinical Engineering Professionals in South Africa over the age of 35, who have made a significant impact in the field of Clinical Engineering.
    • Nominees must showcase their positive contribution and demonstrate excellence within the field of Clinical Engineering under the stipulated headings on the submission form.
    • The Nominator must obtain written permission from the nominee to share his or her personal details.
    • Self-nomination entries will be allowed, provided certain additional requirements, as stipulated on the application form, are fulfilled.
    • After submitting this form, kindly attach the nominee’s qualification(s) and any supporting documentation and email it to us at admin@ceasa.org.za
    • In the event of becoming the winner, the nominee will be invited to serve on at least one CEASA sub-committee in a voluntary capacity.

Clinical Engineering Rising Excellence & Impact Award

    • This category of the competition recognizes Young Clinical Engineering Professionals in South Africa, up to the age of 35, who have made a significant impact in the field of Clinical Engineering.
    • Nominees must showcase their positive contribution and demonstrate excellence within the field of Clinical Engineering under the stipulated headings on the submission form.
    • The Nominator must obtain written permission from the nominee to share his or her personal details.
    • Self-nomination entries will be allowed, provided certain additional requirements, as stipulated on the application form, are fulfilled.
    • After submitting this form, kindly attach the nominee’s qualification(s) and email it to us at admin@ceasa.org.za
    • In the event of becoming the winner, the nominee will be invited to serve on at least one CEASA sub-committee in a voluntary capacity.

CE Mentorship of the Year Award

  • This category aims to recognise an impactful mentorship between a mentor and mentee.
  • A mentee can nominate a mentor who has had a significant impact on them.
  • Written consent must be obtained from the Mentor who will be entered into the competition.
  • After submitting this form, kindly attach the mentee’s and mentor’s qualification(s) and any supporting documentation and email it to us at admin@ceasa.org.za
  • Both Mentee and Mentor receive a prize.

Competition T’s & C’s:

Participation is limited to CEASA members who are in good standing with the association, hold suitable professional qualifications, and excludes CEASA EXCO members in office.  The participant acknowledges and understands that by taking part in the CEASA ‘Global Clinical Engineering Day Competition 2026’, they do so of their own accord and CEASA will not be liable for any claims arising from such participation including, but not limited to, ownership of intellectual property rights or any sort of remuneration. The participant consents to CEASA’s use of any material (including footage) provided to it by the participant on any platform, and hereby indemnifies CEASA of any and all loss arising from any cause whatsoever, due to participation in the ‘CEASA Global Clinical Engineering Day Competition 2026′.

The prizes are not transferable and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Winners who were awarded a branded jacket from prior GCE Day Competition, will not be eligible to receive one this year

Previous Global CE Day winners are excluded from participating in the same award category for the subsequent two years following their award.

Any costs or expenses which the winners may incur, other than in respect of those items specifically included in a prize are for their account.
